[ah yes, the submarine car thing. she enters the passenger's side quickly, and her eyes light up once she gets a better look at the dashboard. one would think it's because she's actually five and wants to press every single button to see what it does. and while that wouldn't be wrong, she's also reminded of good ol' ganymede, and of lancelot as well. scientists always had their shiny toys, didn't they? for a moment, she actually... misses lloyd. terrifying.]

I didn't... It's a shame I missed that! [not really. she went camping with her council once. Never Again.] I'm sure you had fun with everyone, though.

[his touch gets her attention better, and she sits up a little straighter, trying to keep calm as always.] It's perfectly fine, Aikuro. I trust you won't get us too lost on the way.

There isn't any way we could get lost in this car of mine. It doesn't really know the location of where we are in relevance to Earth, but it has a mapped out location of where I have been. You just have to press a few buttons.

Really? [that's... convenient. and quite the technology. as long as they didn't end up in a creepy cabin in the woods or fighting shia labeouf, she was more than happy to be along for the ride.]

[she realises she sounds rather childish, but she can't help her curiosity! and she wants to learn about this car...

there's a moment where milly stares at his hand, considering it and perhaps some of the implications taking it would give. but really, it's just his hand, and she laces her fingers with his, glancing to him with a smile.]

I don't... I can find the Big Dipper, and Leo! But I'm not able to identify much else.

I'd advise you not to press any of them, but maybe another time I can show you everything that it can do.

_{[ He gives her hand a little squeeze as they drive along, creeping up on their destination shortly. ]}

I've always been interested in exploring space, but I never really pursued that to my fullest, obviously. Life is out there, and I'd love to see what else it has to offer.

[she pulls her face away from the dashboard, and smiles a bit bashfully at him.] I'd like that. This car must be capable of quite a bit with that many buttons...

[she squeezes his hand in return, listening to him, her eyebrows shooting up at the end.]

Life? In space? That was science fiction for us... Is it on the moon? Or Mars? [questions from someone whose world made incredible mechas but didn't exactly put a man on the moon.]

Life Fibers come from an unknown origin, but they travel from planet to planet to host on. In our world, they chose Earth, and their hosting, in the long run, is what triggered our evolution over millions of years.

Water has been found on other planets that we perceived to be lifeless, but I have worked with Life Fibers and I have studied the clothes that are made from them— the intelligent, malicious clothes that I despised so much once I knew their intent of engulfing the world.

_{[ He side glances at her. ]}

she listen intently, trying to wrap her head around evil alien clothes that made humans better. but she doesn't question it. she's from a world where weapons of mass destruction didn't end lives, they erased existences.]

Of course I'm following. [who does he think she is, hmm?] But were they all bad? Did you ever find any that were interested in working with humans, instead of using them? Or were they... [(drake voice) hoe don't do it please don't do it if one of us goes in then we all go through it.] ...clothesminded. [NO.]

Not all of them were clothesminded, no. Clothing made entirely out of Life Fibers are called Godrobes, and they are the strongest of them all. They typically carry a personality, but only a blood bond between it and it's wearer allows you to hear them and communicate with them.

You could say they are robellious-- because they host on humans but also decide to help them instead of take over their bodies.

[she listens, curious as to how certain clothes have personality and others don't-- didn't they all have some sort of intelligence? how does this work? and she's about to ask, but he drops a pun on her, and she is disgusted. she gives him a dirty look for a split second, but then she laughs.

Well, in the case of the host, what if they're not thready for that kind of relationship? Does the Godrobe choose someone else?

_{[ STOPS THE FUCKING CAR. LIKE LITERALLY. IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS ROAD. ]}

[whoa what is. going on. why did he stop? is something wrong? is she in trouble?

oh. he stopped the car over a pun. which is the appropriate reaction, to be fair.]

Really? I don't think I'm that unbelievable. [she gives him a bashful smile, then inclines her head to the car door.] I can get out, if you'd like.

_{[ And he just laughs, because he likes puns and jokes-- he really does. He just couldn't believe that Milly of all people was making them one after another after another. God. ]}

Hang on.. you just... haha.. you just got me in stitches, I think I'll need a moment before driving again.
_{[ and he takes this moment but dipping his head forward and resting it on the steering wheel, shoulders bouncing as he laughs. ]}

[oh no, he's so damn cute when he laughs. those schoolgirl feelings hit her full force, and she just watches him for a moment. it takes her a bit too long to even register he said something, and longer to catch the pun, but when she does, she ends up laughing too.]

I don't want to try to top yours. We'll never see the stars if we keep at this.

Ahh, that's true.. we really won't!
_{[ Truth of the matter, he's totally okay not looking at the stars if they're having a good time like this. Nevertheless, he adjusts his posture and starts driving again. They're nearly there, anyway.

[she smiles to him, bright as the sun, giddy that she could make him laugh like that. it's a damn beautiful thing. now she has to do it again. but not yet. too much might kill the man.

there's an expression of sceptic shock on her face now, though-- how dare, aikuro!-- and she crosses her arms.] And why not, hmm? They weren't awful!
