His present he was talking about-- well. It's parked along the neighborhood curb. ]}

[she's dressed well enough for him, in a pretty yellow dress, with her hair left down in those elegant waves she's spent years perfecting. when she opens the door and sees The Manbun, she almost closes the door in his face, but instead offers him a sweet smile, leaning against the door frame.]

Well, hello Aikuro! You look terribly dashing today.

[even with the bun.]

_{[ Look. Somebody said something to him the other day about his hair. He is trying to mix it up a little bit, alright? Aikuro walks inside with a little tip of his head. ]}

I look terribly dashing everyday! But thank you-- it's nice of you to let me come over so suddenly.

That's what I got! Isn't it super cool? I belonged to my organization back home-- I wonder why it ended up here, but I'm not complaining.

[she doesn't even humour him-- he can stroke his ego all damn day if he wants. she does wink at him, though, because he's cute and she's glad he's with her, but then she sees it.

as an ashford, it's required that she shows a slight interest in knightmare frames. this trickles down to an interest in mechanics and automobiles-- even if it's on the more aesthetic front. and she has to admit, it's a pretty slick car.]

It looks cool, you're right. Landy's a sweetheart to give it back to you.

[she's half tempted to shove him out of the way and go examine it better. hots girls and hot cars always go together, right?]

I wonder how well it drives, though. It would be a shame if it looked nice but felt awful.

[voice activated and can go underwater? hot. better than the ganymede, that's for sure. but she'll be patient about riding in it... for now.

with one more longing look at her new husband (the car, not the man), she closes the door behind her and joins aikuro in the kitchen, smiling as she beelines for the fridge.]

Later would be nice... If we go for a drive, I might not want to come back! [she laughs, and bends over to find something deep in the portal to narnia formerly known as the refrigerator.] Is there anything in particular you'd like to have tonight? Or should I just surprise you? [that's such a risky choice...]

_{[ Aikuro rests against the door sill as he observes Milly, taking in her words. He keeps his sunglasses on because he thinks he is that cool. ]}

Some kind of pasta, maybe? Maybe something like spaghetti.
_{[ typically Lady and the Tramp meal, you know. ]}

[the only people who wear sunglasses indoors are tools and blind people. she'll give aikuro the benefit of the doubt and assume he was blinded by her beauty.

spaghetti? now that she can manage, and manage well. it's a good thing The Husband hasn't taken to eating raw pasta and smashing tomatoes on the floor because he could, or they'd have to go for a drive right to the grocery store.

but she pulls out a couple ingredients from the fridge, then the freezer, then various cabinets... she keeps her kitchen pretty organised, and she's proud of it. but after all of that, she pulls out a bottle of wine with a smile.]

No harm in a glass or too before the meal, right? Besides, it'll enhance the flavours of the pasta! [or mask it entirely. either way works for her. so she uncorks the bottle, and pours a glass for them both, handing aikuro his with a grin.] A toast?

Oh! Why thank you very much-- ah, what precisely are we going to be toasting to, then?
_{[ he holds the glass out, but is waiting for her response.

[she thinks about it for a moment, swirling her wine around in her glass, then looks to aikuro with a smile, her eyes locked with his. (it's bad luck to break eye contact during a toast, don't you know...)]

[she clinks her glass against his and laughs, then takes a sip of her wine.] That seems like it's good enough to toast to.

_{[ He will say this like it's nothing, and finally decides to take his sunglasses off and clip them on the collar of his shirt. ]}

[*her eyes staring in his general eye-ish direction. that is exactly what i meant. it still counts.

wait, oh god. did he say "mech"? she's both interested and not. knightmare frames are the last thing she wants to deal with, but if this mech is as cool as his car...] I'd certainly like to see it. I wonder if your world's technology is anything like mine.

[she shrugs, and takes another sip of her wine, then turns to the food she pulled from her fridge, moving to wash the vegetables.] No, we haven't! But I'd like to hear about what's going on in your life. I can only gather so much from seeing you at school. [she looks over her shoulder and gives him a wink.]

I guess we should talk about eachother's worlds sometime-- see what the differences are and everything! I think it's all fascinating we all exist here, really. A scientific revelation! I never told anybody how excited I was about it all when I first got here.

Oh, going on in my life? _{[ He scratches his neck. ]}

I've been painting lately.

Hmm. [she smiles to herself, the water running over her hands and the tomatoes in it, and she shrugs.] I never thought of it as science. It seemed to be too good for that. But I'd certainly like to compare notes. When I first arrived here, I had to learn what America was... Apparently, it's more common across worlds than Britannia is. [she laughs then turns to look at him for a brief moment.] You should've shared that, though. A little enthusiasm goes a long way.

[she returns to the task before her, but can't help but snort at "painting". that's adorable, and it doesn't suit him at the same time. painting...]

Really now? And what have you been painting exactly?

_{[ Aikuro smiles when she laughs. He found out he was attracted to people who seemed to happy and carefree. It was really nice to see people like that here. ]}

the mention of a "colony" is so much weirder than just "people from back home", but she rolls with it (as, turns out, she's from a colony too), shutting off the water and facing him to give him all her attention. whatever this colony business is, it should be interesting.]

Not like that-- it was a nudist colony. Something like that.
I remember what everybody looked like, but we did more than just live our lives. We had a lot of purpose.

Your nudist colony had a purpose? [were they a touring troupe of burlesque performers or something?] Do tell.

Being without clothes-- it does mean a lot to me. I don't think people understand it, but they shouldn't need to. They should just accept it.

_{[ Closer, closer he gets until he is leaning down a little so he can prop his chin on her shoulder. They're pretty close in height-- he's relatively about 4 inches taller. ]}

I prefer fruits over vegetables, but I imagine that would be odd in this recipe.
