Characters Name: Milly Ashford
Age: 20
Canon: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Canon Point: R2, mid-episode 25
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Orientation: Pansexual, with a preference for men. Milly is very touchy-feely with the female members of her student council, and is not opposed to getting up in their business while they're lounging about int he baths, but she was in love with Lelouch, and was to marry Lloyd.
History: Once upon a time, there was a nutso emperor named Charles. He went by many names, like Emperocket, Emperor Wakamoto, Papa Lelouch, and my favourite, Emperor Chuck. Well, Chuck was awesome, and he ruled this one snazzily huge supernation called the Holy Britannian Empire. Now, this giant-ass country was run like ye olden monarchies, with barons and dukes and handsome princes, and of course, knights. But those guys don't matter. Let us focus onTits McSexy Milly~
Milly's family was the old and quite prestigious Ashford House, being incredibly close with the Imperial family, as well as making a name for themselves on their own. The family flourished well, becoming even closer when one of their many 'projects', Lady Marianne Lamperouge AKA "Marianne the Flash", Knight of Six, married the Emperor, and had two children with him, both of which were very close with little miss Milly. Lelouch had stolen her heart, and of course both parental units found it to be a plausible arrangement. But you see, things fell apart when Milly was merely eight. Lelouch's mother was assassinated, taking her, her children, her daughter's sight and mobility, as well as the Ashford name and all respect that went along with it, down together. Milly's family was left disgraced, but was lucky enough to keep their title, their money, and the academy Rueben K. Ashford, the patriarch and Milly's grandfather, had founded and become headmaster of. The Empire favoured loyalty, and loyalists the Ashfords were.
After Lady Marianne was laid to rest, the Ashford family left the Britannian capital of Pendragon, and moved to Area 11, formerly Japan, and took residence in the new Tokyo Settlement, where the Academy was. Lelouch and Nunnally had been in the Tokyo Settlement as well, with the Kururugi family as bargaining tools, but when Prime Minister Genbu Kururugi committed suicide, they disappeared, presumed dead and listed with the many other casualties of war. But two Lamperouges took residence with the Ashfords, as a favour to the memory of their wild and endearingly outgoing mother. They soon resided in the Student Government Clubhouse, as they had nowhere else to go. Milly had her crush within grasp, but of course, duty came first, and she followed protocol and procedure, as a lady should.
Milly's parents were very strict with how she was to be in public when she was younger. There was a way to dress, a way to act, a way to speak, to walk, to refer to people... But when she grew older, they decided their only daughter was more important than constant proprieties, and allowed her to live with her grandparents, giving her more freedom than she'd ever had. The shy young Camilla became nonexistant and the vibrant Milly emerged. It was like she was a whole new person, a person who was very exuberant and curious about the world, determined to learn everything just for learning's sake. She went to the middle school with Lelouch and Nunnally, and while she was never as smart as the prince, she tried so very hard to be. But one thing she was better at than he was making friends. And make friends she did. Even though she was eleven (and three-quarters!), the entire academy knew her, and she helped the student council immensely. And soon, she flew through the grades, and started high school before Lelouch.
Even with all of her old friends graduating, she melded in with the new crowd. They practically handed her the title of Student Government President (just inflate her ego, won't you?) and since the headmaster was her own grandfather, life for the students was rather fantastic. And then, Lelouch came into high school. Rivalz Cardemonde, Shirley Fennette and Nina Einstein did too. These new additions became the vice president, secretaries, and treasurer of her council. Nunnally was the middle school's delagate. Soon the six became very close friends. Life for them was very ordinary, regardless of how extraordinary Milly (and the rest of them, yes) tried to make it. Lelouch went gambling with Rivalz, Shirley fawned over Lelouch, Nina worked on project after project, Nunnally lived in blissful ignorance, and Milly... Well. As long as they were all together...
Then, her senior year, things became very strange.
At the beginning of the year, two people connected with Lelouch reared their heads. Kallen Stadtfeld was the first. Another girl was no problem for a friend. But he seemed to be around her often. Nothing was held against her, of course. and then... Suzaku Kururugi came to the school. He was a suspected murderer of Prince Clovis, an honourary Britannian, a soldier, but also the son of Japan's former Prime Minister (The one who commited suicide four paragraphs up, remember?), and very much Eleven (The name they gave to the area AND the people. Damn racists). Still, he proved him self worthy of all of them, and was soon loved by the entire school. (even Nina!) Of course, this was after one of the craziest scavenger hunts ever, which was organized by Milly. What she'll do to have a bit of dirt on Lulu~ But soon after, the females of the student council (sans lelouch and kallen) were held hostage at a floating hotel (in which Nina fell in love with princess Euphemia, who was in love with Suzaku who tried saving the hotel, but failed because Lelouch is a retard and had to be a terrorist thing, but saved the hotel and everyone it it! YAY! not.) And things just get better from there! Shirley's father is killed by Zero, and Lelouch and Shirley start sharing some secrets. (NOT FOR LONG!) Then everyone starts acting really weird, and what's worse, her parents want their only child, their beautiful Milly to marry a nobleman for name, not for love. And they've found just the sucker to do it. His name was Lloyd Asplund, Director of Technology and Mechanics in the Britannian Military, affectionately nicknamed the Earl of Pudding~ He has no interest in her, but will marry her because he has nothing better to do. (MILLY DOES NOT APPROVE. neither does Rivalz for that matter. He loves her, and yet, she doesn't return the feelings...)
Life still goes on for her, festivals being planned and held (SUZAKU STOP BRINGING YOUR GIRLFRIEND AROUND OKAY) and studies resuming, where Lloyd's awkward courtship with Milly also continues on. And then, the world collapses, if only for a while. Euphemia li Britannia announced a specially administrated zone for Japanese to be Japanese and not Elevens, and Zero, damn Zero comes and ruins/saves it all. Euphemia has LOST HER MIND, and is killing everyone left and right, on national television, and then... Zero shoots her. He kills her. The city crumbles. The citizens revolt against Britannia. Ashford becomes something of a safe haven, but not safe enough. Milly tries defending her council, and her students, and does well enough, but the battle rages on. Kallen exposes her self as part of la resistance, and Nina goes insane over Eupemia's death, swearing revenge on Zero. Lelouch is missing, Suzaku is fighting valiently, and then Nunnally disappears. And the world ends.
For a moment.
A year later, Milly has been brainwashed into believing there was never a Nunnally, but a brother to Lelouch, Rolo, Suzaku Kururugi was a soldier and not exactly a friend, and Zero is dead. The rest of Ashford is the very same. Milly has purposely failed her examinations so she can spend more time at school with her friends. In a way, life as normal has been restored, and yes, she's still engaged. But then, oh dear god buildings are blowing up again ZERO WHYYYYY. And then, there is a welcoming party for Suzaku, such an esteemed young man (now Knight of Seven) thrown by who else~? A FESTIVAL YAY. Well, Gino and Anya come to it for Suzaku, but they have no idea how the real world works. at all. and they sortofkindofreallysuper mess up the next festival, but it was worth it, really. Gino's cute enough to smile and it'll be made up for~ (EXCEPT C.C. WANTED THAT PIZZA) Another party is being held in the Chinese Federation, a wedding, actually. Empress Tianzi of China is to marry First Prince Odysseus eu Britannia, per the will of the eunuchs who need to feel manly at SOME point in their lives. Well, the betrothed couple of Earl Lloyd Asplund and Lady Camilla Ashford just HAD to be there. Well, so were some friends of Suzaku, like Sir Gino Weinberg (who just might've stolen some of her heart~) and Anya Alstreim, and... Nina? Nina Einstein? With Second Prince Schneizel! Milly confronted Nina about her leaving the academy, at which Nina lashed out and just flat out told her off, hurting Milly deeply. Yet, Blondie had some grace and love for her friend, and said if she ever needed someone, she would be there. And yet again, shit starts collapsing around her because OH GOD ZERO WOULD YOU JUST STOP IT and he plans to get the little empress outta there ASAP. And then there is this fantastic battle with the mechas and then Milly returns home. Why she isn't in a mental institution, I don't know. At the academy there are two new students. I'll give you a hint; they were mentioned in this paragraph. Gino Weinberg and Anya Alstreim have enrolled at Ashford which is both YAY and NO. She's got two new members in her council, at least. Well, they ruin ANOTHER festival (kind of?) called Cupid Day, where any girl can become a boy's girlfriend is she steals hisasshat blue heart hat. This is Milly's last day as a student, and moreso, as Student Council President. Milly says whoever get's Lelouch's hat will have their club's budget increased tenfold, and yes, she does this crap on purpose. She then annouces she has enough credits to graduate and does. She then becomes a reporter for a news station. And Shirley and Lelouch get together. for a little bit. She commits suicide (see this pattern? Murder = suicide) and Milly is devastated. She attends the funeral, like she did for Shirley's father.
Lelouch is nowhere to be seen.
So, Milly becomes the face for the station she works for, and eventually covers all major events involving Emperor Lelouch and his insanity. Really, I kind of feel that they are boring and no one wants me to waste MORE of your time with trivial events like ruining the world, and taking over Japan and being dramatic Lelouch and the war with Schneizel in the sky. Which she covered~ But towards the end, there is a massive battle in which her beloved Ashford Academy is used as a shelter, and she is reunited with Rivalz. I wish I could say they got together, really, but they just talk, for a moment, how they wish everyone could've stayed friends forever. Truly sad...
Soon, Lulu's fucked over the world big time, and plans to execute all those who are traitors to him. Such an event will be broadcast worldwide. Milly's covering it. But Lelouch is-- The emperor has been stabbed! BY ZERO?! WHERE DID YOU COME FROM HOLY. There is massive chaos! people are screaming! The goddamn emperor is dead! Oh my god someone do som--
She stops, people rushing in from every direction, and someone going to free the prisoners hits her in the head with crowbar (inadvertantly), knocking her out cold, with her last thoughts before fainting being that of her beloved emperor...
Appearance: Milly Ashford is the main reason why gentleman may prefer blondes. She's a a very attractive young woman, with bright blue eyes, wavy golden hair, and certain assets that make us hot forstudents news reporters. She's very attractive, and believe me when I say she plays that fact up more than some can handle. She carries herself well, with the grace of a noble, but with the energy only a teenager could have. She's very polished in many respects, but is not afraid to push the limits on what is deemed lady-like with her looks. Her femininity is dangerous, but she is not opposed to getting down and dirty to do a job right.
Personality: Milly is a very vibrant woman. Every one is notified of her arrival just because she can be a very overwhelming individual. She is loud, demanding, wild, confident, powerful, completely insane, but at the same time, she is shy, demure, unsure of herself, saddened by the world, and the life she has been forced to live. It seems to be her goal to make every day as interesting as possible, and does so successfully. A born leader, Milly takes on any challenge with the ferocity of a jungle cat, and the grace of a ballerina (or a refined noble~), doing her best to succeed.
Milly's always had everything presented to her on a silver platter, and wants to be more that just her name and herboobs face, but unfortunately, that isn't the case. She's never learned much more than that. Sure, she can cook, clean, throw a magnificent party, do lots of things that would help her in the real world, but she's had to rely on her name to get her ahead. When you don't need to work to survive, how do you gain experience? Still, she's very determined to prove herself, without her body doing all the work for her.
Yet, she wields that physical power as much as she can. She is a manslayer, and was known for that back at the academy. Coy and charming, Milly knows how to win over a man, and likes doing so. She's still a lady by blood and by name, but by actions, not so much. She'd much rather flaunt her figure and have fun than be refined.
Still, nobles are cutthroat, and so is she. (Are you sensing the duality and contradictions in her personality?) She will do anything that is in her best interests, and will do so with a brave face and dignity. She, who has honour to restore and nothing to lose, plays like everything is on the line but her honour is all she has. Never will she do something underhanded unless she needs to. And never will she be serious unless she needs to be. She will stand up for her friends when they are in need, or even if she feels they need her, whether they want it or not. And if you are close to her, beware of her. She will ruin your life or make it magical. most of the time it's both, and you are left wondering HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME I MADE MY MISTAKES. But she will serve as your conscience, as the counselor you love dearly, as anything you wish her to be. Your wet dream, your best friend, your worst fear, or just the girl you were looking for. (to go make you coffee? nah~)
She thinks both rationally and emotionally, serving as the logic to Rivalz' lack thereof, to Shirley's devotion to Lelouch, to Suzaku and his nostalgia. But she is the emotion to Kallen's shy facade, to Nina's sciencegeek ways, and to Lelouch's cool and composed demeanor. Not to mention Lloyd's sociopathic tendencies. But where she wishes to be in love, to be fascinating, to live life with no repercussions, she knows damn well that's not the case, and will think before she acts when she needs to. She has done so when deciding to go and become working class, when she offered to marry Lloyd Asplund, and when she graduated, leaving behind a very emotional part of her life, and certainly what she loved the most to go forth and be a proper adult.
In essence, Milly is a woman, thus full of contradictions, but is a good woman deep down, with hopes and dreams and aspirations, and will work for them even if she goes about it the wrong way~
Abilities: Any abilities she has are particularly mundane. They include, but are not limited to, incredible charisma, stamina, life-ruining in the most flamboyant way, beauty, grace, she's Miss United States, and managing to get whatever she wants. Also boobs and chaos.
Other: Nothing else is particularly notable.
SAMPLES;
First Person:
[The video opens up to a gorgeous blonde smiling coyly and laughing. Her shoulders are bare-- it appears she's forgone clothing. But... she's outside. Oh dear. Smiling again, she removes a pair of sunglasses from her face and winks.]
Talk about a culture shock. I haven't seen anything this suburban since they took "Leave It To Beaver" off the air. This is nothing like the Tokyo Settlement. To think, people have yards here. We didn't have those. We had wars.
[She laughs again and lets the camera slip down a bit to show a bit of her... ample chest. that may or may not have been on purpose. Bringing the camera back to her face, she sticks out her tongue.]
Don't get any ideas. Not unless you plan to act on them! Anyway, I know the house behind me is all mine. It looks lovely, really. Small, yes, but cosy! What I want to know is where this house is in respect to the rest of the world. The last thing I remember is. Well. Not anything like this. [It is wise not to talk about the uprising after Zero's arrival, and worse, Lelouch's assassination... She goes quiet for a moment-- a rarity.]
[But she gets it together again, giggling and flipping her hair.] Anyway, I'd like to know where a girl could get a margarita, and furthermore, if anyone would want to share one with me.
Third Person:
It was too clean.
Milly, of course, was raised in a masion that had maids and butlers and someone to pick up behind her. The ladies of the Ashford bloodline always had soft hands-- they never did a day of work in their life. Back home, Camilla Eleanor Louise Adelaide Theodora Ashford would've had someone cleaning up behind her no matter where she went. Even at the academy, if she made a mess, someone could've fixed it for her. Not like she allowed that. She was a modern woman! She didn't need to be babied! Still, the news studio was the only place she ever really did her own work, made her own mistakes and got to pick up the pieces by herself. She's always noticed the spots where people scrub the hardest, to keep filth away from her eyes. A delicate disposition, some tried to claim. Liars, of course. Anyone who knew Milly knew there was not a single part of her that implied "a delicate disposition".
The house was too clean. Someone's hiding something. People have lived here before, haven't they? Who? Who were they? Why were they here? What were they like? Did they have a life back wherever they came from? Did they trash the house before they left? It smells like home, and it smells like a hospital-- like when they polished the floors in the student council room. It never felt right. Like they were trying to erase evidence. Milly hated it. It didn't feel safe. Surprising. Suburbia feeling more dangerous than a warzone. Perhaps that's exactly why it didn't feel safe. It wasn't home.
Of course, it was home now. It really was a dream come true. Everything she ever wanted, and more. It was so easy to be here, but she didn't trust anyone who lived in a home that didn't look lived in. In moments, she walks to the kitchen, grabbing a plate from a cabinet, and hurls it against the floor as hard as she can. It breaks, loudly and into a million pieces. Just like she wanted. A few pieces are ground under her heel, and they scratch at the hardwood. She doesn't move from her spot in the kitchen, leaning against a wall and admiring her handywork. Milly can only hope that pieces of glass ended up under the fridge, the stove, in places that most wouldn't see, but oh, it was there. Smiling to herself, she waits for a bit, allowing herself a moment to enjoy the mess she had made and would leave for a while.
Chaos, she thinks, truly makes a home. She'll break every glass and plate to keep it that way. After a few minutes, she goes to grab another plate, to add to the mess, but she hears footsteps-- someone's home. Sighing, she sits on the counter, smiling like the cat that ate the canary, waiting for whoever it is to ask about the mess and know that it was her who made it.

SAMPLES;
